Discipleship within the church is on-going training in the Word of God to support spiritual growth and maturity for all ages.  Our discipleship focuses on the following areas:  Christian Education, Youth Ministry, Life Groups, Bible Studies, One-to-One Mentoring, Preaching, Spiritual Retreats, and Special teaching Seminars.
The purpose of worship is to create an atmosphere of intentionally delighting in God - for who He is, for what He is doing, and for what He has done.  We believe that worship is a 24/7 discipline and is holistic in nature.  We embrace the following worship priorities:  Service, Community, Prayer, Praise, The Word, Meditation, and Stewardship.
In the Bible, the church is spoken of as being a "body".  This imagery points to the reality that we are all interconnected and depend on one another in life - much like a body relies on all its part to function well.  We are ONE body with MANY parts.  We are one community.  How we live in community is a vital part of our faith journey; a vital part of our spiritual growth.
James and John both wanted to sit at Jesus' right hand - they wanted to be "great" - they wanted this honor and privilege.  Jesus responded to James and John and all the disciples by saying, "Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.  For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve . . ."  This is a value that we cling to at Redeemer:  Serve one another!
It is great news that Jesus calls, trains and sends us to share His GOOD NEWS of life. Evangelism can be a "scary" and "intimidating."  But we don't want it to be. Evangelism is cooperating with the Holy Spirit and others to bring ONE person ONE step closer to Christ.
